My Eskimo Friend

Sometimes it seems to me like I'm the only person on this planet who doesn't like summer. It's not even particularly hot right now where I live, but I long for rainy autumn days and the chilly breeze of winter. And like that Damien Rice song goes: "I look to my eskimo friend when I'm down."

  1. You're not alone. At least have comfort in the fact you're not seeing 110 F (around 43-44 C) Heat Index there. You go outside and you start melting.

  2. Ah, summer is definitely NOT my favorite season. Growing up in Texas it was torture when I had to go outside, but everyone had A.C. Now living in CA- it gets just as hot, but no A.C! It's awful.

But summer as I know it didn't really come this year. Not with all the flooding and storms and such. All Spring weather. :o

  3. I can't wait for autumn andthe first snow. I live in Idaho, and yes, it gets really, really cold sometimes, but I still prefer autumn and winter over summer.

  4. I moved from Vermont to Mass for the summer (due to work) - and even that little bit of "hotter" made me want to die... Winter is definately where (when?) it's at.
